Emergency Plan for Elephant Conservation

Based on an article posted by WWF on August 16, 2016

In Vietnam, there are approximately 90 wild elephants remained in three provinces as their main habitats. The number of wild elephant populations have been decreasing from time to time. Human- elephant conflict becomes the main cause which jeopardizes the existance of the elephants especially in places where humans and elephants have to share resources.

This issue concerned the provincial governments of Dak Lak, Dong Nai, and, Nghe An that these three provinces held a conference to discuss about new elephant conservation programs on July 28 and 29, 2016. Not only the representatives from those provinces who attended that event, but there were also some wildlife experts from India and Vietnam. The purpose of this conference was for improving human- elephant conflict management via the conservation programs carried out by the Provincial People’s Committees and other relevant departments.

I think that humans must not be so selfish that they take all the resources by themselves. Humans are the part of nature as well as wild elephants. It means that humans are supposed to help other creatures to survive since humans are more intelligent than them. Furthermore, humans are destined to have conscience to keep the balance of the nature for their own importance as well.

  2. What an interesting article! I agree with you. Animals need to be treated nicely. We can not lose anymore animals since so many kinds are extinct already, and now, worse, so many are endangered.

  3. Totally agree, we as a human being should care and love each other although it's an animal, because earth is mean to be home for every living creature. Animals have the right to live just like human
