Donana National Park, which is located
in southern Spain, is in danger due to water shortages. Report shows that there
are about 1.000 illegal wells and 3.000 hectares of illegal farms misusing the
water source. Besides, mining and manufacture have contributed to the critical
condition of Donana National Park. The government of Spain is considered fail
in managing and conserving this national park even though Donana National Park
has become an international concern.
Despite being in jeopardy, Donana
National Park actually has been one of the most well-known World Heritage site
in Europe according to UNESCO. It has become home for a lot of birds and the rare
Iberian lynx. Not only is it habitat for endangered animals, it also has been a
job field for 200.000 local people by fishing, farming, ecotourism, and
research. Now, Donana National Park is facing the possibility to be out of
UNESCO’s World Heritage list.
Environmental damage is resulted
from humans’ rapaciousness. People’s needs have boomeranged on them. It is an
undeniable irony that modern humans are now civilized, whereas they cannot
control their own ego. People are trying to pursue happiness, yet they are
demolishing other creatures’ lives. They are even destroying their own home.

well I agree with you, and it is very important for government of Spain to take fast response before Donana National Park to be out of UNESCO's World Heritage list
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and rexy. But I think not just the government should take care of this issue but the people who live there should take care about that place also cause it was such a waste for that beautiful place to be endangered.
